Newcastle

Ranked as one of the best small towns in America, Newcastle combines the convenience and choices of urban living with the comfort and community of a small town. Located between Bellevue, Renton and the Cougar Mountain area of Issaquah, within the Seattle metropolitan area, Newcastle gives its residents the opportunity for commuting easily to work and returning home to opportunities for outdoor recreation. The city works with volunteers to maintain a uniquely extensive trail system and provides conveniently located parks. Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park is just minutes away.

Newcastle is a beautiful city with distinct neighborhoods and natural open spaces. Lake Boren Park is a primary attraction due to both its natural beauty and facilities. Lasting memories are created in the park during Concerts in the Park, the Fourth at the Lake celebration and annual Newcastle Days festival held every September to celebrate the city’s incorporation.

Newcastle is known throughout the region as being home to a world class golf course, The Golf Club at Newcastle. Standing on the 350-acre golf course feels like standing on top of the world with panoramic views of Lake Washington, Seattle and the surrounding mountains. The Coal Creek YMCA offers various fitness classes and a swimming pool, and a branch of the King County library is located here.
